McFarlands and Septs in Ireland

Regular price $18 Unit price  per

Many McFarland/MacFarland/McFarlane (as well as the various septs) émigrés began their journey to America, Australia, and New Zealand from ports in Ireland in the 1700s. This booklet is an attempt to bring together all the surviving records of our McFarland ancestors in Ireland in the 17th through the 19th centuries. It is divided into 6 chapters: The Plantation and Muster Rolls of 1630, The English Civil War and Irish Revolt, The Restoration, The “Glorious Revolution,” the Siege of Londonderry, and the Battle of Boyne, Presbyterian Congregations in Ireland, and finally, Immigration to America. Rather than a mere listing of names, historical context is included.

Compiled by Mary Helen Haines, who is the genealogist for Clan MacFarlane Worldwide Inc.

The booklet is soft cover, 40 pages, 8.5x11 and coil bound.
